We want our young members to develop an appreciation for fitness, so the YMCA of Central Virginia has developed a new certification program called Y-Fit. A youth member must be part of a family membership to participate in the Y-Fit program.
With certification, Y-Fit members will be able to use all of the equipment with the exception of the free weights and plate-loaded hammer strength equipment in the Wellness Center. Certification in the Y-Fit program will include training sessions on all Cybex/Paramount and cardio equipment. Certified Y-Fit members will be required to have a parent in the Wellness Center at all times.
