General Guest
~ Guests are allowed one (1) member
invited visit per year. Members are not
allowed more than 2 guests per family
membership and 1 guest per adult
membership per visit. The Membership
Director must approve any exceptions in
advance. All guests must complete a
guest registration form and be identified
as such.
~ Guests will be identified with a “visitor”
pass issued by the Membership Services
Desk. The Membership Services staff
member will hold identification and/or
collateral of the visiting guest at the
desk until the time the guest returns the
identification and exits the facility.
Guest must be able to present the
identification to any staff member if
asked.
~ Members of other YMCA’s may not
bring in guests!
~ Every guest must complete a guest or
A.W.A.Y. visitor form for each visit to
the facility. Membership Services staff
will keep the liability form dated for the
date of the visit on hand while the
member is in the building and then filed
with their supervisor.
Military
~ Active military guests will be extended
use of the facilities at no charge with
proper identification/classification
which must state “active duty.” Families
of deployed military may join the
association at a discounted rate with
proper identification/classification. The
Membership Director must approve
military memberships.
Guests
~ In town, adult guests (18 or older) may
visit with a member for a charge of
$10. if the guest decides to join within
30 days of the visit, the $10 will be
applied to the joining fee. Limit one $10
fee to be applied to the joining fee.

~ In town, youth guests (ages 14-17)
may
visit with an adult member for a
charge of $5. If the guest decides to join
within 30 days of the visit, the $5 will
be applied to the joining fee.

~ In town, youth guests (ages 13 and
younger) may visit with a member at
no charge; however, they must be
accompanied by an adult member.
Limit one visit per year.
Out of Town
Guest
~ Active out of town
guests will be
allowed use of the facility if
accompanied by a member at no
charge for one week (seven calendar
days). The guest must have proper out of town
identification and must reside
60+ miles from a YMCA of Central
Virginia facility. (Exceptions: students
attending local colleges in which case
they would be required to obtain a
student discounted membership.)
~ Members of other YMCA traveling for
business are subject to the rules of the
A.W.A.Y. policy for the YMCA of
Central Virginia.
~ Members of other YMCA’s may not
bring in a guest!
