YMCA of Central Virginia A.W.A.Y.
A.W.A.Y. means "Always Welcome at YMCAs."

The A.W.A.Y. program is based on the philosophy that when a person enrolls in a YMCA, he or she becomes a member of a nationwide association of people that helps build strong kids, strong families and strong
communities, and, therefore, when away from home, on business or vacation, will be warmly welcomed by all other participating YMCAs in the United States. A YMCA's participation in this program is voluntary. Some restrictions apply.

Therefore, when away from home on business or vacation, each member will be warmly welcomed by all other participating YMCAs in the United States. This program is not intended for neighboring YMCA members. Exception: Members of the Bedford and Altavista may use our facility once a week and our members can use their facility once a week.

□ Because of safety requirements and/or agreements with other YMCAs, we have established these conditions for A.W.A.Y. member participation. We accept your A.W.A.Y. membership for the full use of our facility at no additional charge up to one week if your home YMCA is more than 30 miles away.
□ Visiting children 9 years of age may be required to pass a swim test administered by an Aquatics staff member.
□ Members of other YMCAs may not bring in guests.
□ Child Watch is available for $5.00 per child per visit. Maximum of 2 hours per visit.

If you are planning to visit another YMCA, please call that YMCA for its visitor policies before you go. To find information on any YMCA in the United States, go to www.ymca.net, and conduct a "Find Your YMCA" search. YMCAs participating in the A.W.A.Y. program are noted.

Again, welcome to the YMCA of Central Virginia. Please let us know if there is any way we can make your visit more enjoyable. We want our YMCA to be a supportive retreat while you’re away from your home YMCA, where you can be, belong and become.
